Blogging The Money Way

Are You Paying The Banks More Than You Should

Posted by User ImageSire on Dec-22-2008 under Making Money

I do not normally actively promote software on this blog unless I have actually had the opportunity to try it out. However, I thought I would make an exception this one time because the other night whilst watching Today Tonight on Channel 7 I saw them talking about a product that could save people with a mortgage thousands of dollars. Even though I do not have a mortgage the story piqued my interest because it resolved around banks overcharging their customers. It appears that a lot of banks were overcharging their customers and even though the amount may not be all that big, over the term of the loan it could amount to thousands of dollars!

It was discovered that only recently a major Australian bank had found they overcharged fees on 55,000 customer’s accounts! In total they had overcharged their customers a staggering $52,000,000!

The reason that many people do not pick up on these errors is because many bank statements can be difficult to read causing these errors to be missed. A program was developed, Mortgage Watchdog, and the developers of this program are so sure that you will find an error in your statements that they promise a money back guarantee if you do not find an error. Not only that, they will also offer the; ”

$250 Success Guarantee”. Find errors in your bank statements or we refund your money AND give you an additional $250 for wasting your time.

So how can you lose? If that wasn’t a good enough deal you also get the following with the Mortgage Watchdog  Deluxe Bundle.

Mortgage Watchdog software
Bonus #1 How to Pay Off Your Home Loan in No Time Flat
Bonus #2 Equity Magic - $100 Gift Certificate.
Bonus #3 Becoming Your Own Banker
Bonus #4 Selling Your Home Made Easy
Bonus #5 Real Estate With No Money Down
Bonus #6 Fixer Upper Fortunes

$ 25.00
$ 25.00

TOTAL $457.00 Your Price: $198

As far as I know the software only works in Australia, but if I hear any different I will let you know. Don’t for a second believe banks do not make mistakes. I’ve heard a lot of news broadcasts where they have admitted to making errors, the question is not if they have or not but how much is it costing you. If you are lucky enough to find your statement is error free, not only do you get your money back but an extra $250.

Linear Motion Products At The Reid Supply Co.

Posted by User ImageSire on Jan-6-2009 under Special Ops

Have you ever wondered what linear motion is? Specifically speaking you could say it was any motion that occurred along a straight line. it doesn’t matter how fast the motion as long as it was in a straight line.

Anyway, someone used the term linear motion in reference to reidsupply.com. I couldn’t work out what one had to do with the other until I found out that they are a company that supplied industrial products since 1948, so I figured that some of the stuff on their books have something to do with linear motion. I wonder what they are?

Laughing At other Peoples Misfortune

Posted by User ImageSire on Jan-6-2009 under Funny Blogs

I felt like I needed a laugh today and so I searched the net for something that would break me out of my somber mood. Low and behold what did I find but a video clip that poked fun out of other peoples misfortune.

Isn’t that weird, that it takes someone’s unfortunate accidents to bring a bit of humor into out lives? What the heck is with that anyway?

Memory Cards More Affordable Than Yesterday

SD Memory Card

I remember how it wasn’t all that long ago that you had to pay a fair chunk of cash if you wanted to buy a memory card for your camera or other electronic equipment, and apart from it costing you a fair bit the capacity was also quite small. Things have changed quite a bit today, and it’s partly because of demand and competition which has brought the price of memory cards way down. Now even I can afford it. :smile_wp:

I’ve come across this video of the 2009 New Year celebrations that took place from Australia to Hong Kong. The display was really quite remarkable and you can tell that a lot of thought and money went into it. I reckon that millions of dollars was poured into the celebrations, and in a time of economic crises as well. Imagine what could be achieved if we put the same amount of money and effort in trying to help world poverty.

When shopping for a new insurance policy, I think it goes without saying that insurance rates are only part of the parcel. There is no point in going for the cheapest rates if the cover that policy good enough for your needs. To determine which one is the best policy, as far as price is concerned, you have to check what each policy actually covers and then you can decide on the policy most suited to your needs.

Still No Love From Google After Latest Update

Posted by User ImageSire on Jan-2-2009 under General

Yep, this blog remains at PR0 even after the latest PR update. Lucky for me PR doesn’t mean all that much to me, yet I still find it interesting to see how my various projects are judged by Google. So, how did I go.

Blogsire (this blog): PR0
WellBlogMe: PR0, both of these blogs were Google Slapped because I was inconsiderate enough to take on paid posts.
Load Of Bullshit: PR0, probably because of the word Bullshit.
WassupBlog: PR3, so far I’ve been a good boy with this blog and it is reflected in the PR. Will I learn anything from this lesson? Probably not. ;)

I’ve only just recently learned that the term Black Friday marks one of Americas busiest shopping day of the year. It starts on the first Friday after Thanksgiving and is considered as chaotic by most of the shoppers involved, especially by the poor guys who are dragged kicking and screaming by their wives or partners to partake in the shopping frenzy.

I reckon they are all crazy, especially when you consider the fact that you can get some ripper special from the comfort of your home. It’s called Internet Shopping.

How To Start A Human Rights Blogs

Posted by User ImageSire on Dec-26-2008 under Special Ops

I just came across this video clip that may well come in handy for those would be bloggers who are interested in starting a ‘Human Rights Blog’. It is pretty comprehensive and even covers the use of anonymity software that hides your IP address, something that bloggers may want to consider if they believe the posts may place them in strife with their governments and other wackos that may want to target them for their views.
